What the Job Entails

As a Mechanical Installer, you will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and uninstalling various types of machinery. Some of the daily tasks required may include performing inspections, conducting tests, and handling repairs both on site and in a service center. This is a challenging but rewarding position that pays $13 or more, depending on the candidate’s experience.

Skills and Experience

The best candidates for this position have an eye for detail and a passion for excellence. Additionally, mechanical installers must be able to read blueprints and tape measures, follow directions and work well both individually and as a team. Along with owning a basic set of tools, Mechanical Installers should have a solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and 12-volt technology.

Some physical labor is required for this position. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods, bend, climb and lift loads up to 40 pounds.
